Channels
Guides, issues, and questions about channel monitoring.
Why am I missing some Slack channels from the "Channels" tab?
Chronicle will automatically populate a list of public and private channels (sometimes called private groups) in your workspace to help you decide which should be ignored from being marked inactive. However, Chronicle can only discover channels accessible to its bot account in Slack, meaning Chronicle can see all public channels, but any private channels that you want Chronicle to monitor will need to invite Chronicle’s bot’s user account to the channel. After doing so, the channel should appear shortly after in the web dashboard. If you don’t see the channel appear, try signing out and signing back into prompt Chronicle to rediscover public and any private channels it’s a member of.
